Poachers shot dead in Great Limpopo Transfrontier N.P.
In the Great Limpopo Transfrontier National Park, wildlife roams free across state borders. The Park is one enormous area, joining together areas from South-Africa, Mozambique and Zimbabwe. But even there the animals are not safe from poachers.

Elephant poaching in West and Central Africa is rampant. A shortage of money and resources means it is almost impossible for African conservationists to take action against illegal ivory trade, corrupted officials, and a steadily growing market.

Bornean Elephants return home in the Kuamut Forest
A group of eleven Bornean elephants previously living in captivity in Kudat have been released at various locations in the Kuamut Forest. One month after their release, a team of wildlife rangers will monitor the elephants with the aid of radio-collars in order to ensure successful adjustment to their new surroundings.
