Too many Elephants ?

Has the elephant population in South African national parks grown out of control? Yes, according to some. People cite the large Kruger National Park as an example, where 10 years ago an agreement was made to keep the total number of elephants at 7500, but now there are around 12000. This has caused problems with vegetation, with the personal properties of local communities, and even death in some cases. A large debate was held on the 6th of August where opinions where shared about possible solutions.
